FIFA obliged Norwegian Norman to pay Rostov for terminating his contract
The International Football Federation (FIFA) tribunal has issued a verdict in the case of Norwegian Mathias Normann, who escaped from Russia. The decision was reported by the Rostov Telegram channel, which owned the rights to the midfielder.
“The player was found guilty of early unjustified termination of the contract. The court ordered Norman to pay compensation to the Rostov football club,” the statement said. It is noted that the Saudi club Al-Raed, to which the athlete moved, is jointly and severally liable for this payment.
On August 9, Normann notified Rostov and Dynamo of termination of the contract due to the fact that the Moscow City building was attacked by drones. Then, citing these circumstances, the legionary left the country.
From 2019 to 2021, Norman played for Rostov, after which he was loaned to English Norwich. In the fall of 2022, the Rostovites again sent the footballer on loan to Dynamo.
