The head coach of the Czech national team resigned after reaching Euro 2024

Head coach of the Czech national team Shilgavy left his post after reaching Euro 2024

The head coach of the Czech national team, Jaroslav Shilgavy, left his post after reaching Euro 2024. This was reported on the team’s website.

“Even though we are happy, before the match we decided that we will not continue to work in the national team. I informed the President of the Czech Football Association Petr Fousek about this,” the specialist said. Shilgavy noted that one of the reasons he decided to leave his post was the enormous pressure.

On November 20, Czech football players defeated the Moldavian national team (3:0). The team took second place in Group E and qualified for the main stage of the 2024 European Championship.

Shilgavy took charge of the Czech national team in September 2018. Under his leadership, the team reached the quarterfinals of Euro 2020 and failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
