UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev said that Ramzan Kadyrov helped him return to life
Mixed style fighter (MMA) representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Khamzat Chimaev on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) spoke about help from the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.
“This man helped me get my life back. Not only for me, but for the entire Chechen people,” the athlete wrote, attaching a photo with Kadyrov. He thanked the politician for everything he has done and is doing for the Chechen people.
On October 21, Chimaev defeated American Kamaru Usman at UFC 294. The fight ended in three rounds with the victory of the fighter of Chechen origin by majority decision of the judges.
Chimaev was born in Chechnya and moved to Sweden at the age of 16. In total, Chimaev spent 13 fights in his professional career without suffering a single defeat. Previously, the athlete represented Sweden, but now he competes under the flag of the UAE.
