Security had to separate Fury and Usik during a battle of views in Riyadh
British boxer Tyson Fury and Ukrainian Alexander Usik got into a brawl during a battle of views in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The episode was broadcast on the TNT Sports Boxing YouTube channel.
The incident occurred after a press conference dedicated to the fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight boxing champion. During the traditional battle of views, the athletes began to aggressively push their heads against each other, which is why security had to separate them.
Fury and Usyk will fight on February 17 in Riyadh. Previously, the Briton refused to fight the Ukrainian at the super tournament in Saudi Arabia, scheduled for December 2023. Before this, the boxers were supposed to meet on April 29, but were unable to agree on the distribution of fees.
Usik has 21 victories in 21 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
Fury has 33 wins, one draw and no losses. He holds the World Boxing Council heavyweight championship belt.
