Tampa forward Sergachev deleted his social network account due to criticism from fans

Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning Mikhail Sergachev deleted his Instagram account (the social network is prohibited in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned). RIA Novosti reports this.

As the source notes, this happened due to massive insults towards the player from fans of the National Hockey League (NHL) club. Fans criticized the forward on social networks for his low performance this season.

In the regular season of the 2023/2024 season, Sergachev played 16 matches, scoring eight assists. The Russian has the worst utility indicator in the team – “-14”.

Sergachev has been playing for Tampa since 2017. He won the Stanley Cup with the team in 2020 and 2021.
