Premier League fans remembered Arshavin’s poker and called him a goal-scoring machine

The English Premier League (EPL) on the official page on the social network X remembered the poker of Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin in a match for Arsenal in the 2008/2009 season.

On November 12, Chelsea drew with Manchester City with a score of 4:4. After this, the league published a post where they drew a parallel between this meeting and the match between Liverpool and Arsenal, which ended with a similar score. Then Arshavin scored all four goals for the Gunners. In the comments to the publication, one of the fans called the Russian a goal-scoring machine and added that he fondly remembers the period of the midfielder’s performances for the club.

On November 8, Arshavin criticized domestic players moving to European clubs. In his opinion, Russian teams are not inferior in class to European ones.

Arshavin played for London’s Arsenal from 2009 to 2013. With the club, he played 105 matches in the English Premier League, scoring 23 goals. The midfielder is also known for his performances for the Russian national team. Together with the national team, he won bronze medals at Euro 2008.
