Arshavin said that he does not understand Kuzyaev’s decision to move from Zenit to Le Havre
Former Russian national team player Andrei Arshavin appreciated the transfer of midfielder Daler Kuzyaev from Zenit to the French Le Havre. He spoke about this in an interview with the YouTube channel “This is football, brother!”
Arshavin said that he did not understand the decision of the Russian football player. “Because Zenit is much cooler than Le Havre. What will he achieve there? God willing, he will get a promotion. But I think he still won’t get into the top club,” he noted.
Earlier, Arshavin criticized domestic players moving to European clubs. He assessed such transfers with the phrase “no money, no glory.”
Kuzyaev played 12 matches in the French Championship for Le Havre, to which he transferred on July 12, and scored two goals. The agreement with the Russian is for two years.
In the 2022/2023 season, Kuzyaev played for Zenit St. Petersburg; his contract with the club expired at the end of June. The midfielder has played for the blue-white-blue team since 2017. Together with the team, he became the champion of Russia five times, took the country’s Cup and won the Super Cup twice.
