The Investigative Committee found that football player Alexey Lesin drowned in Sochi
The cause of death of Russian football player Alexei Lesin in Sochi has become known. RIA Novosti reports this.
Based on the results of an inspection, the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory established that the athlete drowned. The department opened a criminal case for causing death by negligence (Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
On November 8, the athlete’s father Sergei Lesin said that, according to the results of the examination, his son died from asphyxia. After the football player was not allowed to go with the team to a karaoke bar, he went for a walk alone. “Maybe I wanted to walk. He was found at about eight o’clock. There is even a video: he is lying on the shore. Maybe he washed ashore,” added the father of the deceased.
The death of 30-year-old Lesin became known earlier on November 8. At the same time, it was reported that a few hours before his death, the football player and his team went to an Adler bar, where he was not allowed in wearing shorts.
Over the years, Lesin played for the football teams Krylya, Cheboksary, Khimik-August, LAVA and Bomik.
