Russians Kukulyak and Bobrovsky were included in the list of the strictest football referees
Smart Tables named the strictest football referees. The rating is given on the publication’s website.
A total of six judges were included in the list. The arbitrators were divided into two groups. The first group, based on the number of penalties awarded, included the Spaniard Guillermo Cuadra Fernandez, the Italian Matteo Marchetti, the German Matthias Yellenbeck, as well as two Russian specialists, Evgeniy Kukulyak and Yan Bobrovsky.
The second group includes referees who are more active than others in punishing football players with red cards. Fernandez was again included in the list, and the publication also noted the Frenchman Ruddy Bucquet.
The Union of European Football Associations did not suspend Russian referees and other officials from work. At the same time, since February 2022, referees have not officiated at international matches, which was explained by logistics problems.
