Baiko chooses Artola, Jaka, Laso, Peña, Albisu, Aranguren, Imaz and Mariezkurrena for the Couples Championship

Baiko Pilota has chosen Iñaki Artola, Erik Jaka, Unai Laso, Jon Ander Peña, Jon Ander Albisu, Aitor Aranguren, Ander Imaz and Jon Mariezkurrena as starting ball players for the 2024 Couples Championshipas announced this Friday afternoon by the company itself.
Regarding the eight pelotaris that Baiko chose a year ago, the novelty is Iñaki Artola, who replaces Mikel Urrutikoetxea, while there is no change between the defenders. The other main protagonist of the relationship facilitated by Baiko is Unai Lasorunner-up in 2023, who thus returns to the courts after his hip operation.
As Baiko has specified, the composition of the couples will be announced at the presentation ceremony of the Couples Championship, which will begin next November 24, Friday, in Azkoitia. AizarnazabalSaturday, SafeSunday, and Eibaron Thursday the 30th, will be the other locations that host the matches of the first day.
Jon Alberdi is no longer in Baiko
In parallel, Baiko announced, also on Friday, that Jon Alberdi will not continue to be part of his team of pelotaris, by not accepting the renewal offer that he has received from the company. The Azpeitia striker has thus remained in Baiko for five years, since his debut.
