UFC fighter Vyacheslav Borshchev said that he fights for money, not for Russia
Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Vyacheslav Borshchev on the YouTube channel “Ushataika” said what motivates him to perform in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The athlete made a choice between the financial component and representing the country on the international stage. “I represent the Russians, but I don’t fight for them. I don’t want to be a hypocrite – I fight for money. When they stop paying me, I will stop fighting,” Borshchev said.
The fighter added that he was proud to enter tournaments with the national flag as part of the Russian kickboxing team. “Now I’m fighting for money, and I don’t think it’s inappropriate,” Borshchev noted.
The Russian had four fights in the UFC, in which he won two victories and suffered two defeats. On November 12, Borshchev will meet with Azerbaijani Nazim Sadikhov at the UFC 295 tournament in New York.
