Aspinall called Sergei Pavlovich the best fighter in the world before his UFC fight
British mixed style (MMA) fighter Tom Aspinall assessed the level of Russian Sergei Pavlovich before the fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His words are quoted by Sky Sports.
“He hits the right shots at the right time. There are a lot of fighters in the UFC who have the same power, but they don’t have the results that he has: early round finishes and knockouts,” Aspinall said. He called Pavlovich the best fighter in the world and added that he was preparing for a five-round fight.
Pavlovich and Aspinall will fight on November 12 at UFC 295, which will take place in New York. The athletes will compete for the title of interim heavyweight champion of the promotion. On September 3, the Briton said that he and the Russian were supposed to fight twice already, but both times the fights were disrupted.
The 31-year-old Pavlovich has 17 victories in 18 fights. The 30-year-old Aspinall has 13 wins and three losses.
