After a while, however, there was a scandal – the players enjoying the goal were thrown with objects from the stands, and a full plastic bottle hit Jesus Medina’s face.

The game was not interrupted, however, and Medina quickly returned to the game, which was resumed after the first half, New York City led Portland Timbers 1-0. The Polish striker started the match on the hosts’ bench

Even before the start of the second half, Portland Timbers issued a communiqué on this matter. “The fan who threw the object was thrown from the stadium and was banned from playing at Providence Park. There is zero tolerance for such behavior on our part,” it was written.
