Tretyak said that the FHR is working to limit the travel of young people abroad
The head of the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF), Vladislav Tretyak, spoke about work to limit the travel of young players abroad. His words are quoted by TASS.
“We are carrying out this work together with the Ministry of Sports. Legislative work is proceeding gradually,” Tretyak said.
On October 21, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin announced that the department, together with the State Duma, would develop restrictions on the travel of talented Russian hockey players abroad. “Let’s see how we can protect the interests of Russian hockey, athletes, coaches and sports schools in order to limit the departure of talented athletes,” he said.
On October 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for an investigation into the transfers of young Russian hockey players to foreign clubs. “We need to understand what we should do with these hockey businessmen who take children from sports schools and drag them abroad,” the head of state emphasized.
