UNFP nominated Alexander Golovin for the prize for the best player of October in Ligue 1
The Union of French Professional Footballers (UNFP) nominated the Russian midfielder of Monaco Alexander Golovin for the prize for the best player of October in Ligue 1. This was reported on the organization’s page on the social network X.
Voting for the best player of the month takes place on the UNFP website. In addition to the Russian, two Paris Saint-Germain players were nominated for the award: forward Kylian Mbappe and midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery.
Monaco head coach Adolf Hütter admired Golovin’s performance for the team. “He’s great, he’s a creative player with a great right foot. I think he can achieve more, but I don’t want to set any goals for him,” Hütter said.
In October, Golovin played three matches in the French Championship, scoring two goals. The footballer moved to Monaco in 2018 after the World Cup in Russia. The midfielder’s current contract runs until June 30, 2026.
