The competition has started perfectly for Poles. The 35-year-old jumper jumped the hill in Vikersund, reaching as much as 120.5 meters. As a reminder, the HS point in this facility is 117 meters. It was Huli who took the 6th place after the first round, defending the honor of the Polish representatives who went to Norway.

However, this is actually the end of the good news. In the second round there was only one of the five remaining Poles – who was 21st at the halfway point after a jump on 106 meters. Maciej Kot, Tomasz Pilch and Klemens Joniak stood very high from the threshold and it seemed that they would show very good jumps. However, they immediately fell to the landing site and took 35th, 40th and 46th place respectively. JarosÅ‚aw Krzak, who landed on the 90th meter and was 52nd among 56 competitors, fared even worse.

Jan Habdas did much worse in the second round. 92.5 meters meant he would not keep his 21st place – he was finally ranked 26th.
In turn, Stefan Hula in the second round confirmed his very good shape on the hill in Vikersund. The Pole jumped 113 meters. Ultimately, he dropped one position and took 7th place in the competition – by far the best among Poles.
The best one was Ulrich Wohlgenannt, who jumped as much as 123.5 meters in the second round – by far the farthest of all the competitors. He overtook the Norwegian Joacim Oedegaard Bjoereng and the German.
The second competition on the hill in Vikersund will take place on Saturday. Its start is scheduled for 11:00.
