Makhachev reacted to leadership in the UFC rankings

Makhachev responded to leadership in the UFC rankings with the words “praise the Almighty”

Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Islam Makhachev reacted to his leadership in the ranking of the best representatives of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), regardless of weight categories (P4P). The athlete spoke out on Instagram (the social network is prohibited in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned).

He shared a post of former promotion champion Khabib Nurmagomedov with congratulations, accompanying it with a signature. “Praise be to the Almighty for everything we have,” Makhachev replied.

Makhachev topped the ranking of the best fighters earlier on November 7. He displaced the heavyweight belt holder, American Jon Jones, from first place. Nurmagomedov assessed the Russian’s leadership in one phrase. “This is already legendary, brother,” he wrote.

On October 21, Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title for the second time. The Russian athlete knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.

In total, the 32-year-old Russian had 26 fights in his career, in which he won 25 victories and was defeated only once.
