In Guayaquil the last competition was held that determined the final placements for teams and individuals.

In the last competition of the year, held in the coliseum of this sport of the Guayas Sports Federation, the Ecuadorian Gymnastics Federation (FEG), together with the awarding of the winning athletes of the different levels, also recognized the best of 2021 who obtained the highest scores in the events held in the three valid ones of the year.

According to the qualifications achieved, the best athletes in pre-infant category 1 are: Emily Casquete Rodriguez, from Manabí; Y Madelyne Macias, also from Manabí; while in level 1 the winner was Nicole Andrade Pambi, of Store.

Sofia Suarez, from Delta school, finished first in level 2; Samantha Riofrío, from Roll & Twist, on level 3; Milka garcia, from Ready to Flip, at level 4; Luciana Palma, from Ready to Flip, at level 5; Nicole Blum, from the Delta school, at level 6; Cristina Bustamante placeholder image, from Delta school, on level 7.

The best club was also awarded by adding the gold medals obtained in the 3 valid ones held in Guayaquil, from March 26 to 28, from July 9 to 10 and from December 3 to 5.

The final locations were: 1. Gymnastic Quito, 2. Fedeguayas Ready to Flip, 3. Delta College.

“With the national tournament, the FEG closed its national competitions. A medal for the best artistic gymnastics athlete was awarded to the athlete Alais Perea, from Guayas, who was a medalist in the Senior Pan American Championship, held in Brazil in May 2021; while in men the best was the Quito Israel Chiriboga, who won the gold medal in the Senior Pan American, held in Brazil last May “, said the president of the FEG, Michelle Andrade.

Participation in the Pan American Games

Ecuador attended the last Pan American Junior Games, carried out in Cali-Colombia, and Cesar Lopez Chavez, from Guayas, which is part of the High Performance Plan from the Ministry of Sports, was ranked 29th in the All Around (sum of devices), among 50 athletes, from 20 countries.

The tricolor qualified for the jumping finals and obtained the bronze medal with a score of 13,533, this being the most significant result for the gymnast in his sports training and “establishing a historic result in gymnastics in our country,” said the FEG .

Ecuador will have its last international participation in the Senior South American Championship that takes place in Argentina.

The ladies team is made up of: Alais Perea Ponce, of Guayas, and that belongs to the High Performance Plan; Angie Santacruz, from Chimborazo, who are led by the coach Rosendo Verdesotoby Guayas.

For its part, the men’s team is made up of: Israel Chiriboga and Joshua Calvache, both from Pichincha, and are part of the High Performance Plan; JJohnny Valencia, from Pichincha; Joan Pilay, from Guayas; and they are directed by Professor Franklin Castillo, from Pichincha. (D)
