He team Ecuador has 30 medals from the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, which end on Sunday. A number that is far from the Lima 2019 record: 32 medals (10 gold, 7 silver, 15 bronze).

This Friday, Lucía Yépez won gold in wrestling; Valeria Echever, silver in karate; and Génesis Reasco, bronze also in wrestling.

Golden ‘Tiger’ of Ecuador! Lucía Yépez excelled in wrestling and climbed to the top of the podium at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago.

The United States continues to lead the medal standings with 234 medals (100 gold, 60 silver and 74 bronze); and Brazil 165 (56 gold, 59 silver and 50 bronze). (D)
