Tutberidze said that Trusova threw skates at her after winning silver at the Olympics
Russian figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze spoke about the reaction of her student Alexandra Trusova to the silver medal at the 2022 Games. Her words are quoted by the YouTube channel “Comment.Show”.
“She pushed and pushed me there. And then in the locker room she will shoot her skates at me, which she will take off, and I will dodge. That’s how Sashka is,” said the coach.
Earlier, Tutberidze said that she was very upset by her skaters’ transitions to other specialists. “I think there are a lot of kind people around. To her [Юлии Липницкой] they wrote everywhere: change the coach. And Zhenya [Медведевой] they wrote: you need to change the coach, the coach dumped you,” the coach said.
Eteri Tutberidze gained fame thanks to her work with singles skaters. Among her students are Olympic champions Yulia Lipnitskaya, Alina Zagitova, Anna Shcherbakova and Kamila Valieva, as well as silver medalists of the Games Evgenia Medvedeva and Alexandra Trusova.
