Lawyer Maklichenko: Alexey Bugaev had no drugs on him when he was detained
Lawyer Ekaterina Maklichenko, representing the interests of ex-player of the Russian national football team Alexei Bugaev, commented on the information about his detention in Krasnodar. Her words are reported by RT.
Maklichenko denied the accusations against the athlete. According to her, Bugaev completely denies any involvement in drugs. The lawyer claims that the man did not try to hide from the police and he did not have any prohibited substances on him.
Bugaev’s detention became known earlier on November 1. According to the Shot Telegram channel, on the night of October 29, a 42-year-old man was stopped by police and, as a result of examining his personal belongings, they discovered a bag of 500 grams of mephedrone.
At the same time, it was noted that the football player agreed to cooperate with the investigation and admitted that he worked as a drug courier and distributed bookmarks. A criminal case was opened against Bugaev under the article of drug trafficking on a large scale, as well as an administrative case for trying to hide from the police.
