Russian biathlete Vasily Tomshin finished tenth in the pursuit at the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria. The results are available on the website of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
The athlete did not make a single mistake and was 50.5 seconds behind the leader. He started from 47th place based on the results of previous races. The winner was Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet, who covered the distance in 33 minutes and 52 seconds with one penalty. Further on the podium were his compatriots Emilien Jacquelin and Simon Destier.
On December 10, Alexander Loginov missed a medal in the sprint race at the World Cup in Hochfilzen. The Russian finished fourth with one penalty. He lost one and a half seconds to the bronze medalist Belarusian Anton Smolsky. The victory was won by the German Johannes Kühn.
The men’s competition in Hochfilzen will end on 12 December. The relay race will take place at 13:45 Moscow time.
