First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Olympic champion in speed skating Svetlana Zhurova appreciated the victory of the Russian-Ukrainian team Team Spirit at The International (Dota 2 world championship). Her words are reported by Sport24.
Zhurova congratulated the team members and noted that this is a good example that the team did not break up due to the political situation. “In general, the story of Team Spirit and their victories is not about friendship. The guys have a lot of money at stake. It is extremely difficult to assemble such a strong team,” she added.
Team Spirit is represented by Russians Denis Larl Sigitov, Magomed Collapse Khalilov and Yaroslav Miposhka Naydenov, as well as Ukrainians Ilya Yatoro Mulyarchuk and Miroslav Mira Kolpakov.
On the night of October 30, Team Spirit defeated Gaimin Gladiators in the grand finals of The International with a score of 3-0. The team became a two-time champion of the tournament.
