Usik praised Fury’s victory in the fight with Ngannou

Alexander Usik said that he was surprised by the knockdown in the fight between Tyson Fury and Ngannou

Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik appreciated the victory of Briton Tyson Fury in a fight with ex-champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Francis Ngannou. The athlete’s words are quoted by the YouTube channel Fight Hub TV.

“Did the knockdown surprise me? Yes, sure. I watched and thought, “Wow, Francis, be careful.” And Fury said: “Tyson, jab, jab, move, jab,” Usik said.

On October 28, Fury defeated Ngannou in a heavyweight boxing bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The fight lasted ten rounds. The judges gave Fury the win by split decision.

On September 29, ESPN reported that Fury and Usyk signed a contract to fight for the title of absolute world champion. According to the publication, the boxing match could take place on December 23, 2023 or January 2024.

Ngannou has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts throughout his career. He held the UFC heavyweight championship belt.

Fury has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no defeats. He holds the World Boxing Council heavyweight championship belt.
