Fitness expert Gorbunova urged not to ignore the cool-down after training
Fitness expert Natalya Gorbunova spoke about the proper cool-down after a workout. Her words are quoted by Sport Express.
Gorbunova urged not to ignore the cool-down after training, as it allows you to relax your muscles. According to her, this helps the body calm down, restore breathing and blood circulation.
Gorbunova offered several options for a cool down. The first is to walk on the treadmill at a moderate pace for five to seven minutes, gradually reducing the pace until it stops completely.
You can also do smooth bends: place your feet straight, shoulder-width apart, raise your arms up and take a deep breath, as you exhale, bend down as low as possible and lower your arms, keeping your neck and shoulders relaxed. Repeat three to four times.
Another option that Gorbunova advised is to dedicate one workout only to developing flexibility. She explained that this would help relieve muscle discomfort.
Previously, Petrova suggested several more exercises to maintain back health. She recommended doing side bends and simulating archery.
