Czech Dominik Hasek said that he should not return money for playing in the KHL
Olympic champion, two-time Stanley Cup winner Dominik Hasek responded to two-time Stanley Cup winner and State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov’s call to return money for playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). His words are quoted by Sport Express.
“I was at Spartak four years before the Crimea story, and I did my job well. The club doesn’t owe me anything, just like I don’t owe it,” said the former hockey player. He emphasized that he should not return anything, but he himself does not demand anything.
In July, Fetisov, in an interview with “Everything about Sports,” said that Hasek should return the money earned in the KHL. He stressed that it would be fair.
Hasek is known for criticizing Russian athletes. He called for Russians to be banned from all international tournaments. The last club in the Czech’s playing career was the capital’s Spartak, for which he played from 2010 to 2011.
