Marathon judge Savetnikov advised not to stop running training in winter
Moscow Marathon judge and candidate Master of Sports in cross-country skiing Viktor Savetnikov appreciated the need to take autumn and winter breaks from running training. His words are quoted by Gazeta.Ru.
Savetnikov advised not to stop running with the onset of cold weather, so as not to disrupt the regularity. To do this, he suggested choosing special equipment that would be comfortable for outdoor activities.
“In large cities you can find special athletics arenas, where there are conditions for basic training. And if this is not possible, you can turn to running on a treadmill – they are in every fitness club,” the expert added.
Earlier, doctor Ramil Shakhveledov and director of the State Sports Museum Elena Istyagina-Eliseeva gave recommendations on preparing for outdoor training. Experts advised using breathable clothing and making a lesson plan.
