A photograph of Hitler was shown on the screen before an American football match.
At a stadium in the United States, a photograph of Adolf Hitler was shown on the screen. CNN reports this.
The incident occurred before an American football match between the Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Viewers were invited to take part in a quiz where they had to guess in which country the person on the screen was born.
“We deeply regret that it was shown because it does not reflect our values,” Michigan State athletic director Matt Larson said in a statement. It was noted that the university will more carefully check the materials prepared for display.
The school also reported that it had repeatedly used videos from the YouTube channel The Quiz Channel. At the same time, the creator of the channel, Floris van Pallandt, stated that his content was used unauthorizedly and without his knowledge.
The match ended with a score of 49:0 in favor of the Michigan Wolverines.
