UFC champion Islam Makhachev said he will not fight for money
Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Islam Makhachev, in an interview with the YouTube channel of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), outlined the requirements for his next opponent.
“I want to fight a real contender! I need someone whose fight the whole world wants to see,” said the athlete. He emphasized that he would not fight for money and expressed his desire to get a challenger who deserves to fight him.

On October 21, Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title for the second time at a tournament in Abu Dhabi. The Russian athlete knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.
In total, the 31-year-old Russian had 26 fights in his career, in which he won 25 victories, losing only once. The 35-year-old Volkanovski has 26 wins and 3 losses.
