Khamzat Chimaev took a photo with the Palestinian flag before UFC 294
Mixed style fighter (MMA) Khamzat Chimaev, together with an American of Palestinian origin, Belal Muhammad, was photographed with the Palestinian flag. A photo on my Instagram (the social network is prohibited in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) was published by an athlete from the USA.
The photo was taken before the UFC 294 tournament, which will take place on October 21. As part of it, Chimaev will fight with the former welterweight champion of the promotion, American Kamaru Usman. The main event of the evening will be the fight between Russian Islam Makhachev and Australian Alexander Volkanovski. Makhachev will defend his UFC lightweight title.
On October 11, the Russian Judo Federation suspended 2016 Olympic champion Khasan Khalmurzaev. The athlete posted the Palestinian flag on his social networks.
On September 22, it became known that Chimaev had renounced his Swedish citizenship. Now he will represent the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Grozny Akhmat team.
