Umar Nurmagomedov said that his next fight will likely be a contender’s fight
Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Umar Nurmagomedova revealed the details of the next fight within the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His words are quoted by the promotion’s YouTube channel.
“I think I’ll fight Marlon Vera first. And then – with Henry Cejudo or Merab Dvalishvili. Most likely, this fight will be a challenger,” Nurmagomedov said.
On the night of August 6, Umar, who is the cousin of former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, was supposed to headline a promotion event for the first time in his career. He was supposed to participate in a fight against American Corey Sandhagen, but on July 19, the athlete’s manager Rizvan Magomedov announced that Nurmagomedov was injured and would have to undergo surgery.
27-year-old Umar Nurmagomedov has 16 wins and no losses in MMA. He had four fights in the UFC.
