Conor McGregor’s lawyer says the fighter has been cleared of rape charges
The verdict in the case of Irish mixed martial artist (MMA) Conor McGregor, accused of rape, has become known. His lawyer Barbara Llanes said this in an interview with TMZ.
“The authorities have concluded that criminal charges cannot be brought against my client,” Llanes said. She noted that this decision was reached after a thorough investigation, which included viewing video recordings and interviewing witnesses.
On June 15, McGregor was accused of raping a woman. According to TMZ, the incident occurred during Game 4 of the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals. Ariel Mitchell, the victim’s lawyer, said the Irishman committed violent acts in the men’s restroom.
