Abdel-Aziz said that Umar Nurmagomedov should return to the Octagon on February 17
Manager Ali Abdel-Aziz announced the date of the next fight of the Russian fighter Umar Nurmagomedov in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His words are quoted by the ESPN MMA YouTube channel.
“He will return to the octagon in February-March. I hope it’s February 17th. It will be interesting. A three-round fight,” Abdel-Aziz said, without specifying the name of his intended opponent. He emphasized that Umar is as talented as his brother, former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
On the night of August 6, Umar was supposed to lead a promotion tournament for the first time in his career. He was supposed to participate in a fight against American Corey Sandhagen, but on July 19, manager Rizvan Magomedov announced that Nurmagomedov was injured and would undergo surgery.
27-year-old Umar Nurmagomedov has 16 wins and no losses in MMA. He had four fights in the UFC.
