The Ukrainian national football team defeated the Malta team in the group stage match of the 2024 European Championship qualification. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

The meeting took place in Malta and ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the guests. The team’s victory was helped by an own goal from Maltese midfielder Ryan Camenzuli in the 38th minute. Five minutes later, the forward of the Ukrainian national team Artem Dovbik converted a penalty, and at the end of the second half Mikhail Mudrik scored. Malta striker Paul Mbong opened the scoring in the 12th minute.

In addition, the Danish team beat the San Marino team 2:1, and Lithuania played a draw with Hungary (2:2). Slovenian football players defeated their opponents from North Macedonia (1:0), the Serbs snatched victory (3:1) from the representatives of Montenegro, and the English team turned out to be stronger (3:1) than the Italian team.
