The nominees for the title of the best mixed style fighter (MMA) at the end of 2021 according to the World MMA Awards have been announced. Reported by MMA Fighting.
The World MMA Awards will take place on Friday December 10th. Four representatives of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) got into the top five. Only one fighter represents Bellator – Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov, who holds the organization’s welterweight belt.
Among the nominees are Kamaru Usman, as well as Brandon Moreno, Charles Oliveira and Jan Blachovich. Mackenzie Dern, Valentina Shevchenko, Rose Namayunas and Manon Fioro representing the UFC, as well as Kayla Harrison of the Professional Fighting League, will compete in the women’s nomination for the prize.
Swedish fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev also has a chance to win an award at the World MMA Awards. A native of Chechnya is on the short list of nominees for the title of the main discovery of the year. Together with him, Moreno, Amosov, Jiri Prokhazka and Kevin Holland are claiming the prize.
