Angelopol said that the news about the ban on coaches working with him is partly true
Russian figure skater Valery Angelopol commented on the information that the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) banned coaches from working with him. The athlete’s words are quoted by Match TV.
Angelopol said that this information is partly true. However, he did not specify what sanctions the federation imposed on him after the breakup of his couple with Vasilisa Kaganovskaya.
Earlier on October 17, RIA Novosti, citing its own sources, reported that the leadership of the FFKKR did not allow the skater to go to any skating rink with any coach to stay in shape. 19-year-old Angelopol wants to continue his career and find a new partner, but does not receive support.
The news that Angelopol left Kaganovskaya appeared on August 31. The reason was the fact that the athlete refused to sign the contract he proposed and accept it for full security. The dance couple’s coach, Anzhelika Krylova, took Kaganovskaya’s side and also refused to continue cooperation on such terms.
Kaganovskaya and Angelopol are the winners of the final of the Russian Grand Prix series. The skaters have been performing together since 2018.
