Coaches were prohibited from working with Russian figure skater Valery Angelopol after the breakup of his couple with Vasilisa Kaganovskaya. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to its own sources.
As it became known, 19-year-old Angelopol wants to continue his career and find a new partner, but the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) does not support him. It is noted that the management did not allow the skater to go to any skating rink with any coach to stay in shape. The athlete’s attempts to contact the General Director of the FFKKR, Alexander Kogan, were also unsuccessful.
The fact that Angelopol abandoned Kaganovskaya became known on August 31. The reason was the fact that the athlete refused to sign the contract he proposed and accept it for full security. The dance couple’s coach, Anzhelika Krylova, took Kaganovskaya’s side and also refused to continue cooperation on such terms.
Kaganovskaya and Angelopol are the winners of the final of the Russian Grand Prix series. The skaters have been performing together since 2018.
