RPL match canceled

The Russian Premier League (RPL) match between CSKA Moscow and Arsenal Tula, scheduled for December 11, was canceled due to weather conditions and postponed to the spring of 2022. This was announced by journalist Vasily Konov on his Telegram channel.

RPL has already agreed to postpone the match with the clubs. Konov notes that temperature measurements will not be carried out on the day of the game.

“The decision was made after consultations with the clubs, with the consent of both teams and after requesting a weather forecast,” says Konov. According to weather forecasts, the temperature in Moscow on December 11 may drop to minus 15 degrees. The match was supposed to start at 16:30 Moscow time.

However, according to Sport-Express, the decision to postpone the match is not due to weather conditions, but to the claims of law enforcement agencies. Earlier, the Interior Ministry issued a statement that the army team’s stadium did not meet security requirements during the meeting with Zenit. The clubs have not yet officially confirmed the cancellation of the game.

CSKA after 17 matches of the Russian championship takes fifth place in the standings. The Tula are on the 11th line.
