Hockey player Radeborn called Sweden’s refusal to allow KHL players into the national team incorrect
Swedish goalkeeper Adam Reideborn, representing the Swiss Bern, condemned the sanctions of the local hockey association for players playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). His words are quoted by Aftonbladet.
The hockey player, who previously played for CSKA Moscow, called it wrong that KHL players are not called up to the Swedish national team. “I deserve to be a part of it. Of course, this is a subject for discussion, but the association may not need to give up on KHL players,” he considered.
In May, Rideborn, together with CSKA, won the Gagarin Cup. His sister congratulated the hockey player on his victory on social networks, which aroused the anger of his compatriots. In the comments, users criticized the hockey player’s decision to stay in Russia and believed that his sister should be ashamed.
Radeborn moved to Bern in the summer of 2023. The goalkeeper played for the army team from 2021 to 2023. Together with the team, he became a two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup.
