Coach Valery Karpin called Mostovoy’s words about combining posts funny
The head coach of the Russian national team and Rostov, Valery Karpin, ridiculed the words about combining posts in the teams. His words are quoted by Sport Express.
The specialist said that former Russian national team footballer Alexander Mostovoy, who called it unacceptable to work in two structures, is wrong. “I laugh at them. Everything he says is funny. In which country is the national team still banned? That’s all,” he emphasized. Karpin added that he would leave Rostov if the Russian national team returned to the international arena.
Karpin will lead the Russian national team in the summer of 2021. The agreement with the coach runs until August 2024. The specialist returned to Rostov in March 2022. He previously worked at the club from 2017 to 2021.
On February 28, 2022, the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations excluded Russian national teams and clubs from international tournaments.
