The International Olympic Committee (IOC) spoke out about the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Games after the removal of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC). The statement is reported by RIA Novosti.

“The IOC reserves the right to decide on the admission of neutral athletes to the Olympic Games in Paris and Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo at the appropriate time,” the organization said.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has temporarily suspended the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC). This was announced by IOC Communications Director Mark Adams, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Earlier on October 12, the IOC suspended the ROC until further notice due to the inclusion of representative offices of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions in the organization. “The ROC can no longer operate as a National Olympic Committee (NOC) and receive funds from the IOC,” explained IOC Communications Director Mark Adams.

On March 28, the IOC recommended that Belarusians and Russians who do not support the special operation in Ukraine be allowed to compete in neutral status. However, athletes associated with the armed forces or security forces of their countries are recommended not to be allowed to participate in tournaments.
