Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Khabib Nurmagomedov may head the MMA project of the French football club Paris Saint-Germain. Le Parisien learned about this.
It is noted that PSG, which has teams in football, handball and judo, is thinking about expanding sports activities. Nurmagomedov’s appointment is supported by the fact that the Russian knows and communicates with the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight title three times before retiring in 2020. In total, the athlete won 29 victories in 29 professional fights in mixed martial arts.
After finishing his performances, Nurmagomedov began coaching. In 2022, he was named the best trainer of the year according to MMA Junkie.
