Italy and Türkiye will host the 2032 European Football Championship
Italy and Türkiye will host the 2032 European Football Championship. This was announced by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) on its website.
The host countries were confirmed at a meeting of the UEFA executive committee. Russia was another contender to host the tournament, but the application was rejected in May 2022 as not meeting the requirements.
Earlier it became known that Euro 2028 will be held in Great Britain and Ireland. The joint application was submitted by the football associations of England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
The current European champion is the Italian team. The team won the tournament in 2021, which took place in ten countries – Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia and Romania.
