He Italy spin of 2024 will start next May 4Saturday, in the region of Piedmont, as revealed this Monday by RCS Sport, the company organizing the race. It will be the fourth time in history that the Giro d’Italia will begin in that region, in which, in addition, the 107th edition of the event will remember, in its first stage, the accident suffered in 1949 by Torino, in Supergajust on the 75th anniversary of the tragedy.

The organization of the Giro d’Italia has offered some details of the first four stages of the next edition of the race, before this Friday, October 13, the complete route is presented. Thus, the first stage, on May 4, 2024, will start in the Venaria Reale, and will end in Turin, after traveling 136 kilometers, with several climbs. The participants will pass through Superga, exactly 75 years after the plane crash that cost the lives of the champions of what is known as Grande Torino, so the Giro will also dedicate a commemorative t-shirt.

On Sunday, May 5, it will take place the first arrival at high altitude, in the second stageafter 150 kilometers between San Francesco al Campo and Santuario di Oropa, which will be followed by 165 kilometers between Novara and Fossano, on a flatter route, ideal for sprinters, on the third day.

To say goodbye to the Piedmont region, on Tuesday, May 7, the runners will have to complete 187 kilometers, starting from Acqui Terme and destination yet to be discovered, in the fourth stage of the 2024 Giro.
