Spartak Moscow midfielder Jesus Medina appreciated the celebration of scoring a goal against the capital’s CSKA in the 11th round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“This is football. I respect CSKA, I played here, but we need to move on. Now I’m at Spartak. There is no other reason,” said the athlete. He emphasized that the match was difficult for the red and whites, and added that they need to move on.

On October 8, Spartak drew with CSKA in the RPL match. The meeting took place in Moscow at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium and ended with a score of 2:2. The red and whites bounced back in the sixth minute added to the second half: Medina scored a goal.

After 11 matches, CSKA is in seventh place in the standings, with 17 points. “Spartak” is in sixth place, having scored the same number of points and surpassing the opponent in additional indicators. Krasnodar is in the lead with 27 points.
