Usman Nurmagomedov received $150 thousand for defending his Bellator title

Russian mixed-style fighter (MMA) Usman Nurmagomedov earned $150 thousand for his fight with American Brent Primus, in which he defended the Bellator lightweight title. The amount of the fee in Twitter named journalist Shaheen Al-Shatti.

The US representative who lost in the fight received the same amount. The largest purse at the tournament – $300 thousand – was received by Brazilian Cris Cyborg, who defended the promotion’s featherweight title for the fifth time in a row.

Usman Nurmagomedov, who is the cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, defeated Primus by unanimous decision at Bellator 300 in San Diego. The meeting took place on the night of Sunday, October 8.

In total, the 25-year-old Russian won 18 victories in his professional career without suffering a single defeat. The 38-year-old Primus has 12 wins and four losses.
