“Aris” said that everyone in the club community is proud of Alexander Kokorin
Nikolai Shpilevsky, the father of the head coach of the Cypriot “Aris” Alexei Shpilevsky, told how the club treats the Russian striker Alexander Kokorin. The specialist’s words are quoted by the RB Sport Telegram channel.
“Everyone in the Arisa community is proud of Alexander, and in return he gives his best in games. But everything has its time,” Shpilevsky said. He emphasized that the team considers the forward one of the most skilled players in the main squad, but they understand that the Russian needs two or three more matches in order to adapt to the increased level of competition.
On September 21, Kokorin scored the first goal after returning to the Cypriot team from the Italian Fiorentina. The forward scored in the 11th minute from the penalty spot in the first round game of the Europa League group stage against Sparta Prague.
Kokorin moved to Fiorentina in January 2021 from Spartak Moscow. The striker spent the 2022/2023 season on loan at Cypriot Aris, becoming the winner of the national championship. On September 5, it became known that Aris again took Kokorin on an annual lease from the Italian club.
