Traumatologist Shneiderov advises cryotherapy for recovery after training
Traumatologist Maxim Shneiderov spoke about innovative methods of recovery after training. His words are quoted by Shape.
The specialist noted the effectiveness of TECAR therapy, during which the body is exposed to high-frequency electric current, which is not physically felt. The current penetrates the tissue in the form of converted electromagnetic waves and generates heat, which stimulates the deep layers of tissue and accelerates recovery.
The therapist also spoke about the benefits of cryotherapy, during which the body’s defense systems are stimulated due to exposure to cold. Cryotherapy, according to Shneiderov, accelerates the body’s recovery processes, reduces inflammation, removes lactic acid, and helps improve the condition of the immune, respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
The expert emphasized that only a doctor using special equipment can carry out the procedures. For self-recovery after training, he recommended bath treatments, healthy sleep and massage.
Earlier, fitness trainer Yanina Kolpakova named ways to force yourself to go to the gym. She suggested taking up a new type of physical activity and finding company among friends.
