Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov showed how he practices using prosthetics on the stairs. He published the video on his Telegram channel.

In the footage, the athlete is climbing the stairs at a fast pace, stepping over one step at a time. “I want to take two steps soon,” Kostomarov noted.

Earlier, Kostomarov said that he had set himself the goal of returning to the ice. “How will it work out? Don’t know. But I know for sure that I will come out,” said the Olympic champion. At the moment, he continues his recovery, works out with rehabilitation specialists in the gym and goes to the pool.

Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and influenza B. Due to prolonged connection to a blood oxygenation machine and a ventilator, his tissue began to die. Doctors amputated both feet of the skater, then the shins of both legs, the entire hand of his right hand and several fingers of his left.
