Coach Kuksov advises rolling your muscles with a roller before doing pull-ups

Coach Vladimir Kuksov spoke about exercises to prepare for doing pull-ups. His words are quoted by Shape.

The specialist recommended rolling the muscles of the back and shoulders using a special massage roller at the beginning of the warm-up. Next, Kuksov advised to warm up on a block simulator, the starting position is standing, one leg is put forward, the opposite arm must be bent and the handle of the simulator should be fixed in it.

“Extend your arm forward, adding thoracic rotation as desired. With this movement, the shoulder blade should move away from the spine. Then return the shoulder blade to a neutral position,” the trainer said, noting that the arm does not need to be bent at the elbow.

Next, in the same position, you need to perform deadlifts (10-12 repetitions for each arm). “Add an arm curl and pull the handle of the machine towards you. It is important that the movement begins precisely from the shoulder blade – only after this should you bend your arm at the elbow,” explained Kuksov.

The next exercise he advised was to do bent over rows with a similar technique. To do this, you need to position the handle of the exercise machine from below, tilt your body forward 45 degrees, and bend the leg in front at the knee.

For the next exercise you will need a graviton: you need to kneel on the platform, and with your hands you need to grab the handles of the simulator from above. “Similar to the standing one-arm row, move your shoulder blades, but in a vertical plane. Pull your shoulders down without bending your arms – feel the movement of your shoulder blades up and down,” explained Kuksov.

On September 18, fitness trainer Vladimir Kukarin explained why people quit sports. The expert cited excessive demands on oneself as the reasons for giving up sports, as well as a poor choice of a fitness trainer.
